Russian portrait painting in the Russian school of a mother and daughter.  Inscribed on the back of the oil painting USSR 1957. The inscription possibly later, the painting also of Eastern European origin by repute however perhaps not Russian.

The back of the painting with remnants of another picture that has been since removed. Possibly of another portrait. 

The guilt frame not original and probably later. An addition to any interior decor or wall art collection.
