Delft pottery is also known as Delftware, or Delft blue are terms used for what formally known as tin-glazed Dutch Earthenware formerly from the city of Delft in the Netherlands.
Delft is known as being decorated in cobalt blue and white, but it can also be painted in other colors.
This diminutive pair of vintage candlesticks are attributed to the mid 20th century. The candlesticks are unsigned, and unmarked, and fashioned in earthenware and brass. The center body of the candlesticks is decorated with hand-painted floral decorations and painted in a carousel of hand painted blue lobbed panels.
The rustic, farmhouse décor aurora of Delftware is always a fitting ornament to any room or environment.
